Ingredient List:
* 1/8 cup sugar + cinnamon for the loaf pan
* 1 large very ripe banana (or 2 small bananas)
* 1 egg with enough milk to make 1 cup
* 1 stick of butter, softened (I used unsalted) (Check out this conversion website to convert “1 stick of butter” to your own measurement: https://www.errenskitchen.com/cooking-conversions/us-sticks-butter-conversion-charts/ )
* 1 t. vanilla extract
* 1 cup sugar
* 1 1/2 cups flour
* 1 t. baking soda
* a dash of cinnamon (optional)
* walnuts (optional) – I used 1/2 cup

I just made this and it tastes amazing! Thank you for the recipe! Although I like to add chocolate chips in it for more of a desert banana bread so I only used half a cup of sugar. Other than that everything was amazing!

I tend to avoid recipes that say "the best", but seriously this one is the best! I was planning to freeze half…not gonna happen this go round. I used half the sugar, no eggs, sub 1/3 of flour with oat flour, and oil instead of butter. Delish!
This recipe doesn't use baking powder, curious what difference that would make?

This one is just 2 bananas
I use 2/3 of sugar instead
Melt butter first so it isnt all clumpy when mixing but still good didn't even realise
Was fluffy and bready,abit squidgy.
Next time put more batter into one cupcake, like almost to the top sincr it didn't rise that much

A little trick when cutting any homemade bread is to turn it upside down before cutting. That prevents the bread from crumbling.

This is the only recipe I like to use now, very simple and delicious.
I end up sprinkling some sugar mix from the sides on top at the end because I like it crusty.
Forever my favorite recipe. Better than my mom’s and mom in law. The cinnamon sugar helps with sticking and helps the flavor a lot too. I add extra cinnamon in the batter too bc I love it. I love chocolate chip banana bread, but this is so good it doesn’t need it…and neither do I 😢
