These vegan cheese recipes are as simple as it gets and really tasty too. I use the parmesan and easy cheese sauce all the time, and I was so excited when I first realised how easy it is to make a grate-able /meltable firm cheese đ There are more complex and more true to real cheese firm cheese recipes out there, and I can do a video on my fav in the future but they are do have more steps so I didnât want to go into that in this video. I get my nutritional yeast from iherb.com, but here in New Zealand you can get in from commonsense organics, some Binn Inn stores and wholesale retailers
Simple vegan cheese recipes;
Parmesan;
â 1/2 cup roast cashews
â 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
â 2 tsp garlic salt
Easy cheese sauce
â 1 tbsp oil
â 1 tbsp flour
â 1 cup plant milk â non-lite â soy, cashewâŠ
â 2 tsp nutritional yeast
â Dash garlic salt, cayenne
Veggie cheese sauce â can be nacho cheese
â 2 potatoes,
â 1 carrot,
â 2 tbsp nutritional yeast,
â 2 tbsp olive oil
â half lemons juice
â garlic salt, paprika
â Optional add jalapeño / cayenne / roasted red pepper
Basic firm cheese
â 1 cup non-lite plant milk â soy, cashew⊠â Iâm using 1 cup water & 1/3 cup soaked cashews for cashew milk
â 1 cup cooked sweet potato
â 1/2 tsp paprika
â 1/2 tsp cumin
â 1 tsp salt
â 1 tbsp soy sauce
â 2 tsp garlic powder or 2 cloves
â 1/2 lemon juice
â 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
â 1 cup water
â 2 1/2 tbsp agar agar http://www.iherb.com/now-foods-real-food-agar-powder-2-oz-57-g/374?rcode=gow915
Store in fridge for 4-5 days

I make vegan cheese all the time using water, chick pea flour and nutritional yeast. Then you can experiment with the flavour by adding in things like paprika, mustard and other spices until you hit the flavour jackpot.
