wildhearses says:

I'm "veganish" and I really enjoyed that my chinese american ex didn't need meat in every dish and was good at cooking tofu. I also thought of asian cuisine when she talked about just using a tiny bit of meat to flavor the dish rather than it being the main thing like my mom's potroast. Meat use to be kind of a delicacy and since america got relatively wealthy we eat a ton of it as a flex but at this point it's not doing us alot of good.
