Breakfast can stump a lot of new vegans. Even long-term vegans can get stuck in a rut, bored by monotony. Generally speaking, most of us are sleep-addled and hungry for something that we can’t put our finger on. Not everyone prepares an Instagram-worthy mini mason jar of overnight oats they can just “grab and go!” […]

I make my own vegan version of Greg’s Anabolic French Toast and his Apple Goop (or is it apple poop?).

Overall I 100% recommend this cookbook and it is totally worth the $99!

EES METHOD says:

Tofu is only shit when people don’t know how to work with it. Sa TAN is the devil on the digestive system for a lot of people.

You can use chickpea water for an egg replacer. Not enough protein? Use pea protein milk.

Nice review.

Holly Ryan says:

glad i found this video – i've been curious if his recipes can be veganized but for those of us that can't eat seitan tofu is not shit

I can’t believe this video exists! I was just considering to buy Greg’s cookbook but I’m Vegan so I was just wondering how much of it could be Veganised.

Jolene the Llama says:

I feel the vegan part is pretty easy, I was basically a vegan already before I went fully plant based, except for eggs. I have never been a fan of cows milk or yoghurt made from milk, so the eggs are the only thing I miss. Just for my morning pancakes. The 100g of eggwhites pr day, is the only thing I miss. It made my pancakes low in calories, low in carbs, I got a huge batch for under 400 cal and it kept me sooo full for a long time. Now I just can't seem to make pancakes under 400 cal that keeps me full, so I tend to go over my desired calories. But I am experimenting with avocado protein pancakes, so I'll probably figure something out. I just can't support the murder by grinding of male chicks 🐣💔

DINO IDEAS says:

Not vegan by any stretch of the imagination but cashew milk>cow milk.. Don't @ me..

DINO IDEAS says:

Are you Indian?

Joey M says:

If I had to kill and prepare my own meat, I would be a vegan. That being said, I am not above paying other's to do my dirty work for me. My biggest issue with switching to being a Vegan (outside of loving the taste of meat) is I am allergic to a lot of foods that have a certain pollen in them. Tree nuts, peas, carrots, apple skin, etc. I would have an extremely difficult time getting my protein in.

YogiXL says:

Egg replacers in my area have 0 protein. I really want to make protein packed French toast like greg

Swayslay 20 says:

Where is the link for your homemade seitan?

Kunjal Choudhary says:

Rich Timm says:

You didnt cook the apples long enough!

Ian Westerbeck says:

Hey Alia, have you tried making the French Toast Blueberry Pancakes? I’ve tried a few times (used egg replacer the first couple times, then protein powder and more xanthan gum) and the consistency always comes out shit and it never works right. Then again I am a moron using wheat bread instead of regular ass white bread but I feel like the issue is probably not that. Let me know if you’ve tried this, this is the only recipe I’ve come across in the cookbook that hasn’t worked for me yet. Thanks Alia

VV says:

Thank you for this! I was trying to veganize his recipes and gave up lol.

Remingtin says:

Oatmeal sucks, ferina is better!

Remingtin says:

My only critique on the cookbook is that for the "real food" it's pasta, pasta, more pasta, and a hamburger somewhere in there lol

AN OOP says:

She's clearly the opposite of " A moron"
