In this recipe we demonstrate how to peel and cook Kohlrabi, following an Indian recipe. Srikant is using a famous spice mix. that gives Kohlrabi a unique flavour (below you can find a link to the video, which explains how to prepare the spice mix). This dish is very quick and easy, and it tastes amazingly with flatbread or rice.

If you'd like to increase your subscriber base and view count, you will need to cut the fat out of your videos. Rather than looking for one way to cut all the fat, look for many ways to cut a little fat. For example, rather than cutting the camera to your face while you explain something about what to do, keep the camera on the food being prepared and just say it then. Scrubbing through your video I saw so much of YOUR TALKING HEAD that I thought you were making a dating service video rather than a cooking video.
I liked and subscribed! Thanks for this wonderful recipe and demo. I will make it! And I look forward to more recipes from Srikant. 👍🏼👍🏼😊
The style how you crushed ginger and garlic 🤔 I tried the same and my knife broke from the handle. Needless to say I got a lot of punch from my wife 🤗
Does it taste similar to chayotte or chou chou?
That was really yummy, thanks! Unfortunately I took too much spice for only one kohlrabi but I’ll know better next time.
Too much talking for a simple recipe
Grill it… or make kohlrabi soup… or make stuffed kohlrabi…
I am sorry 😄, the pot in brown at the top shelf has a very weird nozzle 😁😁
Kohlrabi is from Germany… They use it there for Centuries. Some German recipies may inspire you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjChNRVqORI
Ooh that's an interesting recipe to use kohlrabi with!!!
Thank you very much for sharing this yummy recipe, highly appreciate it. What is panch puran? Can anyone explain?
Hello. This recipe looks tasty. I just picked my kohlrabi and will try this dish for lunch. Thank You.
Why do I feel so relaxed after watching this? 🙂
hello could you let me know what all the spices are and where to purchase them..Thank You.
Looks yummy, thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much, I just grew kohlrabi but hadn't tasted it before – really looking forward to cooking this up tomorrow for lunch with your recipe.
I ordered Panch Phoran too, it won't come in time for lunch though I'm afraid. 🙂
And – happily subscribed!
Warm regards
Jennie
Looks good!
What were those black and white seeds?
What is the name of the spice you used. You put it in the pan right after the oil. This looks great!
Thank you, I'll try this recipe as I bought a Kohlrabi. My grandmother used to sauté in butter but as I'm non dairy this seems ideal. I thought you had a lovely, calm manner but the scrapping of metal on metal, yikes, ouch I had to mute. 🙉
,তরম curry of watermelon
You can eat them raw too. I did that as child allot, for that grab the smaller ones as the larger ones tend to to "woody/grown through" where the root was. If cooked they develop a different taste then when eaten raw. I always use them in Vegetable Soup, just cut them up and simmer in a broth with other Vegetables for 45-60 min.
But i need to try this method here.
Nice video, nice cooking. Love kohlrabi!
Great video
I just started gardening and grew about a dozen kohlrabi. I've never tasted it before. I wanted to see how to cook it up an easy way, and I think I'll try your recipe. Thanks!
Thanks so much for sharing this recipe with this unique vegetable. I can't wait to try it!! It looks so tasty!
