On this episode of Bachelor on a Budget, I create an Asian Quinoa Stir Fry similar to how you would cook a great fried rice, but using Quinoa instead. Recipe below.
Recipe:
1 Cup of Quinoa
1 3/4 Cup of Broth, Stock, or Water
2 Tablespoons of Vegetable Oil (Canola, Avocado, Sesame)
2 Eggs (Scrambled)
1 Cup of Carrots (Finely Chopped)
1 Cup of Broccoli (Finely Chopped)
1 Cup of Onion (Finely Chopped)
1 Cup of Frozen Peas
1 Tablespoon of Ginger (Finely Chopped)
1 Tablespoon of Garlic (Finely Chopped)
1 Tablespoon of Soy Sauce
3 Tablespoons of Oyster Sauce
2 Green onions (Chopped)
Instructions:
Bring 2 cups of liquid (broth, stock, or water) to a boil with 1 cup of Quinoa. Salt to Taste. Once at a boil, bring heat down to low for 13 minutes. Fluff Quinoa with a fork and set aside.
Put a large wok or pan on medium-high heat. Add 1 1/2 Tablespoons of Vegetable oil to the Wok. In a bowl, whisk two eggs, add to oil mixture. Let fry and gently move the raw egg around the pan to make the shape of a round omelette. Once, egg is starting to cook, and just starting to brown, flip with large spatula. Fry for another 30 seconds or till cooked. Set egg aside, and cut into small strips.
Bring the same wok or pan to high heat and add remaining 1/2 Tablespoon of oil. Fry Onion and garlic for a minute. Then add carrots, fry for a minute, then add broccoli and ginger. Add frozen peas and soysauce. Stir. Add white and thicker parts of chopped green onion to the mix. Add Quinoa, and cooked eggs to the mixture. Add in Oyster Sauce and mix. Soy sauce to taste if not salty, or optional sugar if sweetness is desired. Garnish with chopped peanuts and remaining green onions. Enjoy.

What Can we substitute for eggs ?
You look like Ted from Schitts creek
Yes, yes, yes.
Looks so yum!
IKEA sponsored this :))))
I am soaking my quinoa so I am forced to make this tomorrow!!!
Looks yummy
You did not wash the quinoa before you cooked it
That's amateur. You should put more oil when start stir frying and the pan seems burn now. I would prefer toss onion garlic & ginger then adding some cook wine to increase aroma. Too much of oyster sauce and of cause it will taste great it's full of MSG. Uncle Roger and I sure will be upset on this
Wow for the first time on cooking quinoa I wanted to come out with a boom and I did I wanted ideas and follow some of the video but I give food my personal touch all the time and with a mahi mahi and add some salted shrimp to the rice will give it a whole other experience. Thanks and looking to see more out of your channel

coconut aminos work great also instead of oyster sauce.
Look simple and easy.thanks
Asian quinoa or Peruvian?
It’s always better use cold press sesame at the very last minute of any dish instead. Sesame oil + high heat = diseaster, ruin the nutrients and flavore !
Thank you mister, but how many quinoa can be used fir 1 person? Thank you for answering me.
Excuse me i would like to give you a suggestion. The quinoa you should wash it for at least seven timesto remove the soapy and bitter it. It contains saponin. \\\it's advice.Thank you.

I’ve never had quinoa once so I’m lowkey excited and pray it taste good
so much oyster sauce.. very salty
You need to do some more research about your ingredients, sir… Canola oil is one of the WORST oils out there; HIGHLY processed and bad for you,,, why would you suggest an unhealthy oil when there are so many other options?
I'm gonna try this tomorrow.
