Since its inception in 1993, Chipotle has been generous with its vegan options. Plant-based patrons could always rely on a solid meal of rice, beans, fajita veggies, salsa, and guac for the first 20 years of this chain’s existence, but in 2013, Chipotle introduced the vegan sofritas—a game-changing option of spicy braised tofu. This build-your-own […]

Today, we celebrate the infinitely delicious ways ingredients can come together between two slices of bread. The great big world of vegan sandwiches is vast and complex, but for the sake of simplicity, we’re narrowing down the definition of “sandwich” to exclude hot dogs and burgers. In no particular order, we’ve created a bucket list […]

Joy Mae - Millennial Money Talk NYC says:

I’m with a vegan now and had to show her this!!! Vegan pizza just got 10x better

Eilish Hassett says:

@ElementFreedive hey I’m a lesbian. Have you never met a lesbian before? lol

Marie Bourgot says:

@ElementFreedive They were talking about the author of the comment.

Flax Machine says:

@James Crud there aren’t dudes that go by “her” except for drag queens. If you’re talking about transgender women, they are women. Not dudes

James Crud says:

@Flax Machine How do you know for sure? Some days I feel like a princess.

Chloe says:

The thumbnail looks really good I’m hyped

Chloe says:

@Myth Tree ???

Merle Periwinkle says:

I love your pfp

Daniel axc says:

Alternate Title: “Vegan manhandles his sausage for 17 minutes straight.”

nicbongo says:

that gets firmer over time…

cali5995 says:

That would have to go on his only fans page. lol

Ken Rimmer says:

HOT Vegan…

Myfanwy Amber says:

You sir win the comments 🤣🤣🤣

Old Photos says:

😂😂😂

Eren M says:

Omgosh!!! This is what I’ve been looking for!! My son is hooked on pepperoni and that’s the last thing I needed to wean him off to be completely vegan 🌱 yay thank you ❤️

Crystal Moet says:

Way to go Mommy

SamTheMan says:

@Eye Of Now what a sad life you have, trolling people in the comments of vegan recipe videos… Get a life

M. M. says:

Excellent!!! 🌱❤️

Marie Bourgot says:

@Eye Of Now No you are the one spreading misinformation about veganism and what official health organisations are saying about it, whih is that it’s a perfectly healthy diet if balanced (like any diet) and at any ages, babies included.
Also, if we were to talk about child abuse, making humans babies eat babies from other animal species when it’s totally unecessary is basically teaching them cruelty as a habit (and humans are all about habits and traditions which make it hard to change) without their consent, and also increase their risk of having diseases like diabetes 2, some cardiovascular diseases, some forms of cancers, hypertention and obesity when older.

M 28 says:

@Eye Of Now But feeding kids corpses and hiding the truth isn’t?

Michael says:

I’m not vegan but as a chef, this recipe is pure gold. My veg heads are gonna be happy with this one.

SoftlyX says:

Ashton Haines-Levi actually you should pander to them if you care about spreading veganism

Lars Le Love says:

what’s holding you back? 😊

Ashton Haines-Levi says:

SoftlyX I do but not here 😂 every second of my life doesn’t fucking revolve around them. Ever tried actual activism? Because that’s what I do. Walk before you talk.

Baron Of Bubbles says:

@Bowey Groen If I were a chef, I’d see vegans as a source of easy money.

MonínTheMarved says:

@Bowey Groen i liked the way you put it. It’s a challenge if you grew up eating meat and only cook with meat products. It’s whole other playing field. Thank you for being positive. The only reason I wasn’t vegan sooner was because of the condescending “activist” vegans who made me feel like whatever I did was ever going to be enough.

SCD Observer says:

The only suggestion is for you to add liquid smoke into the recipe.

bigrig82 says:

@bikinggal1 It can indeed. I put a tablespoon into this recipe, and it did give it a slight smokey flavor without overpowering it.

Vivien Witt says:

@Ken Rimmer Hey, how much Seitan or whet gluten did you use? Thx

Ken Rimmer says:

@Vivien Witt Not sure it will help you but i use a cup of wheat gluten and about 3/4 cup liquids(tomato/hot sauce, water, liquid smoke, sesame oil, miso and spices. This makes 12 smallish sausages(silicone moulds from amazon which i use to steam). All the best!

Vivien Witt says:

@Ken Rimmer Thanks a lot!

Martha Simons says:

@Ken Rimmer I use a tad of chipotle chili powder for smoked flavor sometimes for a change up.

yellowsparklefish337 says:

How do I make it less like american pepperoni and more like italian salami? Love, an italian

Genesis Lambert says:

Increase the amount of fennel! Use both whole and crushed along with marjoram! I work at an Italian restaurant where we make italian sausage in house and his secret is the amount of fennel he uses

PRESET says:

Elaine Croft says:

@Genesis Lambert Thanks for this! 😀

evelyn baron says:

Heh you so glad about the million subscribers and LOVED your cooking with your Dad videos — my Dad was born in 1908 and no longer here but he was a brilliant cook — translated a whole bunch of recipes from Serbo-croatian into English; made a birthday cake for me when I was a child which was flourless, ground hazelnut wafers and a dark chocolate ganash if that’s the right word/with apricots super cool inspiring Dad always interested in the environment etc. way before his time so proud of him as you are of your Dad!!!

Just a general comment; your cooking is 3 star Michelin level and I do try some of your recipes; mock meat for me is an ethical step to getting people to eat less meat but for me on a daily basis I keep things a lot simpler, even though a confirmed foodie. And that’s ok too, so tx again!!!!.

Wayne 00k says:

Evelyn – perhaps you should publish your father’s recipes:)
There is nothing like good food to bring the people of the world together in harmony!

Jay Hutchinson says:

Just so yummy, I love your videos, i became a vegan in 1975 when i was 13 years old and there was no vegan meat way back then, except falafel and wheat meat aka, seitan.
I’ve been making vegan meat for more than 40 years, you really don’t need to work the dough that much although it is better if you do, and you can use a Ziploc bag and steam instead of boiling for about one hour and if the dough is a little wet what’s ok it comes out justice witch i really like. Aloha from Hawaii.
🌎✌👍

go away says:

Vegan since 1975? That’s amazing, thank you so much.

Jay Hutchinson says:

@go away thank you God bless

Jay Hutchinson says:

God bless you, and all the animals that loses there lives everyday to feed us, #go vegan

Yesenia Lemus says:

The amount of, “That’s What She Said” from The Office that could’ve been used throughout this video 😂

Rahat Hassan General says:

Your gonna offend the vegans they don’t like meat 👀

earthtodanni says:

lmfaooooo

Heather Harris says:

Oooh my gosh, yessss!🤣🤦‍♀️

Gina Palumbo says:

The whole time I just kept saying, “that’s what she said.” 😂
But really, this looks amazing! I would make this!

Becci Baum says:

Just imagine sleeping next to your boyfriend and suddenly he wakes up, yelling: “TOFU, it needs tofu for the fat!!” 😂😂

Yeo Wen Han says:

@Timothy Staples wait what? ive been eating soy based products almost every single day

Valadin says:

@Timothy Staples LMAO when completely clueless ppl., who consume milk products and/or beer, start to spread pseudoscientific propaganda they read on some boomer facebook group or conspiracy site try to preach about the “evil” estrogen in soy, i can´t anymore.

What you are probably referring to, is Daidzein and Genistein, the first activates a receptor called “GPER” which is the receptor for the sex hormone estradiol (in short: Daidzein can help prevent osteoperosis and lower the breast cancer risk), the second activates the “ERβ” receptor which is one of the two classes of estrogen receptors, in simple terms ERβ is the “good one” which should be very active in males and females for most of their lives, while the ERα is the “bad one” that should be mostly inactive except during pregnancy, breast feeding, puberty, the menopause a brief time of the period.
Luckily we can consume all kinds of Leguminosae without worring about it because they almost exclusively activate ERβ, while 8-Prenylnaringenin(occures in resonable quantities Humulus lupulus flowers and therefore in beer) activates the ERα which for example decreses male fertility and potentially increases brest cancer risk, the same is the case with milk, especially cows milk which contains estrogen and progesterone identical to those our bodies produce, lets see what researchers have to say about those hormones in milk:

“The collected data from other researchers and our own data are indicating that the presence of steroid hormones in dairy products could be counted as an important risk factor for various cancers in humans.”
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4524299/

DrSnape says:

@Yeo Wen Han you should have a balanced diet. Eating too much of one kind of product is not good, no matter what it is.

Yeo Wen Han says:

@DrSnape no like, I eat all kinds of food except for meat lol im vegetarian

DrSnape says:

@Yeo Wen Han sure, but eating soy-based products every day doesn’t sound very balanced.

Cloud64 says:

Link to the recipe to save anyone else having to faff around finding it. Note, some of the ingredient quantities vary from what Gaz tells us, but it has the quantities of vital wheat gluten and tofu, which he didn’t give us in the vid. https://www.thevegankindsupermarket.com/recipes/Gaz's-Pepperoni

I look forward to making it as the chicken and beef recipes worked well, so I don’t doubt that this will too.

Cloud64 says:

Ellen Deitell Newman You’re very welcome. When I encounter something like that I prefer to assume an unintentional mistake rather than a cunning plan: makes for a happier world. People screw up, I doubt Gaz posts and annotates the vid himself and the recipe was where he said after all.

CSpencerND says:

Thank you sooooo much. I was losing my mind 🤣

Kristin says:

The recipe is off considerbly on the vegan kind website

Kristi K says:

Does anyone knows in which of his books that recipe is in or where can i get the one with correct measurements? I just made it and tasted weird :/ Can only taste vital wheat gluten although made everything based on the recipe. And also after cooking – took it out as it was firm to touch. 3min later both sausages became soft 🙁

Kristin says:

@Kristi K its not in his new plant power cookbook. Its on the vehan kind website but he adds whole tablespoons on his video where the website states teaspoons. It needs the TBs.

V Hartle says:

This looks SO good, but guys…. I srsly don’t have time or energy for this.

Jeff Weber says:

I make it on the weekend…and it takes me only 20 minutes work…minus the cooking… and it lasts a long time…so worth it.

Diane Love says:

Same. It didn’t take long with a stand mixer.

jungjikook from bts says:

its not that hard. takes max 20 min and freezes well, its worth it

2 Am says:

I need a guy to look at me just like how he looks at his pepperoni 🥺 15:10

Aleyah Malone says:

So vegan that he has a “plants only” necklace and plants all over his kitchen

M. M. says:

Love it

Tammie Pulley says:

This is definitely a program of attraction and not promotion. Such a gentle, laid back chef. This recipe would make a great Pizza. I’m here for it.

That One Weeb ꪜ says:

I am gonna stick with pugs instead🐷🚗🥓

Darshita Jalan says:

maybe we can add liquid smoke, a little more salt and fry these slices for a more greasy and crispy texture

Vegan Educator says:

That sounds really good. Might have to try that!

Darshita Jalan says:

@Vegan Educator I am so glad

Adam A. says:

I still think homey should come out with his own vegan meats, cuz I’m WAY too lazy to make my own at home.

Jonah Woods says:

@Kirill Obraztsov nothing wrong with sharing

Jonah Woods says:

@Adam A. should really learn to cook on your own in case you ever have poor times

Adam A. says:

@Jonah Woods Oh trust me, I know how to cook, just not stuff like this.

Jonah Woods says:

@Adam A. haha yeah I feel that.. we just gotta have patience I guess 🙂

ahamatmabrahman says:

Thought I was lazy making pizza 2 days ago with pitta bread until I saw a pizza delivery in my street just as mine were ready Didn’t feel so lazy suddenly

Clair Rainbird says:

“I’m sure you’ll be fine with this recipe” 🥺 I’m gonna make a recreation video with your words of it encouragement to guide me 😆🤞
