MO KOKO says:

Make sourdough bread please , rye or other type bread of your choice
Or fresh yeast home made

avantgardevegan says:

I’m not actually a big fan of sourdough, also not many of my audience will have the time to keep a starter alive.

Pat M says:

I’m making sourdough bread and it’s not so complicated.. In my opinion the best is from half of rye half spelled flour. The most important is sourdough and if it’s fresh – new one, its much harder to bake a bread and usually bread have sour taste and its heavy.. But if sourdough is old then is super easy to make bread.. Just mixing flour water and sourdough (with salt of course and what ever u want plums raisins nuts herbs sunflower etc. ) and let it grow about 9 hours. I could send you sourdough but I’m living in Poland so I don’t know how long could takes trip.. and after pandemic of course..😉 My sourdough this year have 20th birthday.. And can travel up to 10-14 days.. Because longer will be hard to survive without fridge. When U have it, the best is doing bread ones per week (sourdough stay at fridge in glass container) If its necessary it can stay for 10-14 days without feeding, but better to frozen it if u knows U will not able to care about it. 😉 If in your area are old bakery you can ask them for old sourdough. (but if U want, I was serious about sending it) 😉 👍

Pat M says:

And thank U for recipe Gaz.. I like sometimes also white bread! 😊 👍

Fast active dried yeast can be found in almost any supermarket…. Nope, first pasta, then toilet paper, now yeast is the latest hamster trend! 😅

Pat M says:

Exactly.. The same in Poland now..😉 Even is hard to buy the flour.. I find some amazing man who grind me the spelled! 😀 Hope U will find ingredients that U needs ♥️

Lara Helena says:

I must say there one good thing came out of the whole situation: It’s really refreshing to have you, Gaz, be so free and natural filming by yourself.
The passion you have for your cooking really comes through since it’s not staged, and you don’t seem to be trying so hard to be video-perfect. I’ve always liked your videos and the recipes you do for their artisan touch and what they can teach about the possibilities of vegan cooking. But I love the sincerity that comes through here! Keep it going and congrats on 1 million subs!

Shwetha Varshini says:

Genuinely shook that that dad joke didn’t end with, “I don’t loaf you anymore”

Karla Cabrera says:

I MADE THE BREAD! It was so delicious with a nice crust, but with a soft interior. I was able to make two baguettes (for philly cheesesteaks this week), two mini loafs for sandwiches, and two pizza dough which turned out so delicious when cooked on a cast iron skillet then broiled… this recipe is a keeper! I did add 3/4 cup pumpkin seeds, tablespoon of rosemary, and used all purpose flour. THANK YOU!!

Manjiri Salve says:

Hi! Could you please tell me how to make this bread on a cast iron skillet?!

Karla Cabrera says:

@Manjiri Salve Sure! So lets say you make the entire batch like he did in the video, with the 6 1/4 cups of flour. After making the dough and proofing it, you can take 1/3 of the dough or 1/6, depending on how much you want for the pizza dough, and roll it out to a circle. Preheat the oven for 425F. Heat up a skillet to medium high heat and add some olive oil. After its hot you can place you dough on there for about 3-5 minutes, then flip and cook the other side. After you flip it the first time, you can quickly put on your toppings for the pizza and then put the cast iron skillet with the pizza in the oven to cook for about 10 to 15 minutes. I continue to use this recipe ever since I’ve seen the video.

Alyazia Ghanmi says:

“Didn’t get much sleep last night because I just couldn’t wait to get up and make this bread” 😫
