How-to Make Homemade Oat Milk (Recipe) - Quick & Easy

✿ Veganlovlie Recipes / Homemade Oat milk: This is a delicious alternative to dairy milk. It is cheap, quick and very easy to make. Adding some coconut flakes help the milk to hold itself better together.

I have used quick oats here but I have had better results (taste-wise) by using oat groats that are soaked overnight, drained and rinsed then used as per the same recipe.

Add more coconut if you like the taste better.

Oatmilk can be used in as a drink on its own, in tea/coffee, in smoothies, in baking (where dairy-free milk is called), in sauces (bechamel, vegan mac and 'cheese') and curries.

The oat pulp that is left after straining the milk can be used in cookies, cakes, bread or added to porridge. Here are a couple of videos where I've used it:
