Thank you for the vegan dish!

Guy Matsu says:

This is GREAT! I’m a vegetarian and gave up gyoza because it is usually always filled with meat. You guys always make cooking so easy! Thank You!

Erin Uber says:

Guy Mats If you cook at home, do try this. Vegetarian gyoza are really yummy! You are in the SF Bay Area, right? Keep looking…I know my local Japanese restaurant offers vegetarian gyoza. They can’t be the only one! Also, if you have an Asian market near you, I think they generally offer some frozen vegetarian options. They are really easy to cook, and are usually pretty good. Sending best wishes your way!

Guy Matsu says:

Thanks Erin!

Whitney Callen says:

Seconded!

Princess Vanessa says:

I like to chop my vegetables by hand I find it quite therapeutic actually. Haha cutting only half an onion you should only cry half as much lol. If you worry about meat in the gyoza getting cooked properly you could use leftover meat that has already been cooked. They looked delicious!!👸👑💗💗💗💗💗

Elijah Kazan says:

Ok. I’m hungry now. This is not fair guys >

Banana Lucky says:

jl says:

I like listening to the sound of the knife on the cutting board. Reminds me when I was a kid and our older women are bustling all over the kitchen. The sound of chopping, pounding and bubbling were like music to my ears. And the smell… Those were the days 😊

Mini Wolfang says:

YES, vegan gyoza!!!! So happy to see this vegan recipe from you guys. More vegan tutorials please!

I’m always super excited to see Japanese dishes veganized! Considering I might move there someday, I was always a little concerned bc traditional Japanese cuisine has so much fish and different meats but these videos really give me hope :> plus you guys are literally my favorite Japanese foodies❤

somekid says:

Sharone Rosie what’s your point?

C M says:

@Sharone Rosie Fungi are neither plants or animals so you don’t consume any meat.

Sharone Rosie says:

@C M yeah I was halff asleep when I wrote that comment 😁🤦

Lisa TheCatDude says:

I’m a wheelchair user with a variety of disabilities. I don’t find a food processor to be a very accessible item, so I do chop up everything by hand. I also enjoy chopping up vegetables. It makes me feel like I’m really cooking lol. Onions really bother my moms eyes, so I chop them up for her. It’s very therapeutic lol.

GFINHK says:

I sometimes like to grate everything. lol

saanchee G says:

You could actually use those manual vegetable choppers… it’s much easier and small to handle

Alisha Noronha says:

Lisa TheCatDude you are a wholesome person!

Yoshiko Yeto says:

Oh yes, vegan gyoza! I’m so happy! I made veggie gyoza for my husband this Valentine’s Day – it was my substitute for honmei choco. The gyoza came out pretty good, but there was definitely room for improvement. I can’t wait to make your recipe. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

kushi G says:

Vegan who lived in Japan for 10 years~~~~~!!! Love it!! thank you

Vanilla Lite says:

Just made these and they turned out delicious!! Heres a tip: make a couple dumplings first and try them out, if they are not seasoned enough you can add more to the filling mix! I find that dried shiitake mushrooms add more of an umami flavour as well ☺️ Some hot sauce on the side and BAM you got a great snack
