If you don’t have almond flour, can you use ww or oat flour?
This recipe is so good it replaced the one I used to make with eggs. Is better in regard to taste and texture. Being used to less sugar (I used only 1/4 cup sugar in my old recipes) I use fewer dates than Jill does, 3 1/2 ounce of dates is plenty for my taste. I also down sized the crust recipe, keeping the proportions the same.
The filling was excellent but the crust was too rich (though it tasted good) for us since it is mostly ground almonds. I think I’ll go back to mostly flour crusts.
Ooo I would love to try this but idk where I can find dates at an affordable price here ther like 8 dollar for 1 cup of medjool dates
Made this for Thanksgiving. It was delicious! I've also used the cashew cream on all the other desserts…
The texture was kind of heavy with the 1/4 cup arrowroot. I may use much less next time.
It's easy to go down a rabbit hole with your videos. I wanted to take a minute to tell you that besides enjoying your video's your production quality is fantastic. When a video is done poorly it sticks out like a sore thumb, but when it's done right you notice nothing. Besides great recipes you do a wonderful job on making the videos themselves.
Yup, confirmed, made this on Thanksgiving too and it's AMAZING. Seriously, try to get the Applaud button!! The topping is amazing too, I can just eat that on its own, but the pie itself was absolutely perfect… also, it was the first pie I ever baked and I owe that to you too. I think there are a few other pie recipes so I'm going to go through them now too, since I have the pie dish and the confidence. THANK YOU JILL!!!
